Share a beverage with a local Mangalorean family in their home.

The home we visited had seven bedrooms and most of them had a full bathroom attached.
Nice yard with tons of potted plants everywhere.  The city surrounds this lovely property.

This is two of three rooms that make up the kitchen.

The ceiling looked like it was covered with terra cotta tiles.

Our last stop St. Aloysius College Chapel in Mangaore.
No photos were allowed inside.  I bought a dozen postcards for one dollar.
My guide in front of the building next to St. Aloysius Chapel.

Postcards from St. Aloysius Chapel.  Above is the ceiling and the paintings are primarily on canvas.  The chapel artwork is provided to facilitate prayers.  The central row of paintings on the ceiling depicts the life of Aloysius Gonzaga to whom this College and Chapel is dedicated.  On the panels on either side of the sloping portion of the ceiling are portrayed the Apostles.  Brother Antonio Moscheni  painted the ceiling and walls in two and one-half years.  It took a team of seven, four years to refresh the art work.  Below is the altar,  and the place around it is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary with her child Jesus Christ.
