Day 149 Sun June 11, 2023 Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan
Taipei City Drive and Foot Massage $149.
It took one hour to drive to Taipei City. We visited the Chiand Kai-Shek Memorial Hall for about forty minutes. Out next stop was a Foot Massage Parlor. It took about twenty minutes to drive there and we stayed for about forty minutes. Our last stop was at Longshan Temple and we visited about fifty minutes.
Tour the modern Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and a revered temple founded in 1738 and then enjoy a pampering foot massage that will leave you feeling contented and invigorated.
Taipei reveres its past and former leaders such as Chiang Kai-shek. At his namesake memorial hall, you will see statues of Chiang, his personal memorabilia and perhaps the bulletproof Cadillac that he used as an official state car.
Enjoy a massage on your feet and lower limbs with an accomplished masseuse.
You will then visit Longshan Temple that was founded in 1738 and dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy. Although rebuilt numerous times in the wake of natural disasters, the temple is still an architectural treasure. Be sure to notice its sweeping roof decorated with mythical creatures.
