Palace of Holyroodhouse and Holyrood Abbey is the official residence of Scotland’s monarch. The public is allowed in when the Queen is away. (www.royalcollection.org.uk/visit/palace-of-holyroodhouse There is an Inner Court and an Abbey Church. I believe the Queen comes for a week each summer. She sends other family members as her representatives at times. No pictures were allowed inside.
I saw the Crown Jewels of Scotland, many apartments and a display for Harry and Megan’s wedding. Her veil was exquisitely embroidered.
